Ultimate Forza male review: think twice before buying

Ultimate Forza is one of many dietary supplements designed to enhance sexual intercourse and sexual health and give you a better sexual experience.

If you look at all the other ultimate forza male supplement reviews out there, they don’t contain nearly the same level of detail as this article.

You might see a lot of customer reviews out there claiming that this product is great, and that they experience an incredible increase in erectile strength, but that’s just the right use of testimonials. I’m going to share with you the full picture.

Let’s look at the product information from the official website.

First off, they claim that it’s a Male Test supplement, meaning that it increases testosterone. But this product is far from that.

Their main ingredient is used as an erection enhancer, not a T booster. They are clear about horny goat weed being the main ingredient, but why add the other as well? Read to find out.

Horny Goat Weed (HGW) powder

Goats who ate the leaves of Epimedium became horny and that’s where the name came from. Many men’s health supplements contain HGW.

The bioactive ingredient in HGW is icariin. It’s an aphrodisiac and is used as an herbal treatment for erectile dysfunction (ED) in Chinese men.

When taken orally, 91.2% of icariin converts to icariside II (ICA II) by intestinal bacteria.

Mechanism of action of horny goat weed

Icariin acts as a PDE5 inhibitor (like Viagra for example) and testosterone-mimetic. Icariin can enhance the growth of penis muscle cells (smooth muscle proliferation) and regenerate the nerves and veins in the penis (R).

Why it’s important

Diabetes causes a lot of oxidative stress to be is created, which:

• causes inflammation

• damages nerves and veins (blood vessels)

• destroys penis muscle cells (think smaller penis size)

• promotes fibrosis (less ability of the penis to stretch and thus reduced size of the erection)

• lower LH and testosterone levels

• increase estradiol as well as angiotensin (which promotes vascular leakage and hypertension)

Icariin helps to prevent these negative changes and regenerate damaged veins and nerves. This promotes better erections and more sensation in the penis (R, R, R, R).

“ICA and ICA derivatives can activate endogenous stem cells (ESCs) leading to endothelial cell and smooth muscle cell proliferation, nerve regeneration and fibrosis inhibition, repair pathological changes in penile tissue and improve erectile function.” (R)

Human studies on horny goat weed

There are zero human studies on horny goat weed to show its effectiveness. Still, it has, and is, being used in ancient Chinese medicine to enhance sexual activity. So it definitely works.

Most natural sexual enhancement supplements contain it because it works.

Ultimate Forza contains 1000mg horny goat weed and 10mg icariin, which is definitely a good dose.

Maca powder (aka Lepidium meyenii)

Maca is a plant found throughout Peru. It grows only between 4000 and 4500m

altitude at the central Peruvian Andes. For centuries, it’s been used for its

properties to improve sexuality and fertility.

There are 3 kinds of maca; red maca, yellow maca, and black maca. When it comes to sexuality, it doesn’t matter which one you use. The reason people tend to like black maca more is because it has more macamideButred maca. But, most of the studies on libido used red maca.

The effective dose of maca

In the case of maca, there are quite a few human studies. Maca doesn’t appear to affect LH, testosterone or estradiol (R). It does increase dopamine and noradrenaline, which is likely how it boosts libido (R).

Dosage: anything over 1.5g will do the trick.

This study found that in normal men, there wasn’t a difference between 1.5 and 3g (R).

A caveat to this is PSSD (Post-SSRI induced sexual dysfunction. If someone has PSSD, then higher doses will work better.

According to this study, maca improved SSRI-induced sexual dysfunction. 1.5g was not effective, but 3g was. There appears to be a dose-dependent effect, so you can take higher doses for better effects (R). If you don’t feel much from 3g, then try 5g or even higher.

Ultimate Forza contains 250mg of maca powder, which is definitely underdosed.

Mucuna Pruriens (aka velvet bean)

Mucuna Pruriens is a tropical legume native to Africa and tropical Asia rich in L-dopa.

Mechanism of action of Mucuna Pruriens

Mucuna Pruriens:

• Prevents the drop in LH and testosterone induced by diabetes in rats (R).

• Reduces testicular oxidative stress and inflammation on a high-fat diet (R).

• Improves penile neural function (R).

• Lowers cortisol and acts as an adaptogen (R).

• Increase steroidogenic enzymes, such as StAR (which transports cholesterol into the mitochondria of the testes) and CYP11A1 (which converts cholesterol into pregnenolone) as well as androgen receptors in mice and rats (R, R).

• Prevent penile oxidative stress and fibrosis induced by diabetes (R).

• Promote testosterone production, by stimulating the hypothalamus and forebrain to secrete gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH).

The effective dose in humans

We only have 2 studies to work from and both were in infertile men with low testosterone.

In both cases, they used 5g of Mucuna Pruriens (R, R). Mucuna pruriens, by increasing testosterone, dopamine and noradrenaline and lowering prolactin and oxidative stress can improve libido and sexual desire and sexual function.

Ultimate Forza used only 30mg of Mucuna pruriens (15% seed extract), which is underdosed.

The average L-DOPA content in dry seeds is 3.28%. Using a 15% extract enhances the strength by about 5 times. This reduces the dose required by about 5. To get the same benefits as in the studies, they need to use 1g of a 15% extract.

30mg is a far cry from 1g. Again, underdosed.

Polypodium Vulgare Root

Polypodium vulgare is a fern found in western Europe and North Africa. It’s the plant with the highest concentration of ecdysteroids.

Only one study has looked at the effects of ecdysteroids on libido and sexual function. They found that giving infertile men ecdysteroids improved their sexual function (R).

Unfortunately, they didn’t specify the dose. But I can assure you that the 20mg Polypodium Vulgare Root Powder used in Ultimate Forza is too low.

Common ecdysteroid supplements contain 500mg of ecdysterone per cap.

Tongkat Ali (aka Eurycoma longifolia aka Longjak) root powder

Tongkat Ali is a well-studied herb and is referred to as Malaysia’s “home-grown Viagra”. Good Tongkat Ali product are LJ100 or Physta®.

Tongkat Ali’s effective dose

Tongkat Ali can increase testosterone and dopamine and lower cortisol (R).

According to this study, 200mg of Tongkat Ali increased testosterone by 40ng/dl (R). They also saw improvements in sexual function.

This 2021 study looked at the effects of 600mg Physta® containing 8.7 mg of eurycomanone (one of the key active ingredients). They found that it increased testosterone on average from 800 to 924ng/dl in 2 weeks (R). A 124ng/dl increase. That’s 3 times better than the 200mg dose.

Both 200 and 600mg are effective at improving sexual function, but the higher dose will be superior.

Ultimate Forza only used 100mg of Tongkat Ali per serving, which is again, underdosed.

Saw Palmetto

Saw palmetto (Serenoa repens), a type of palm native to the southeastern United States. The extract is made from the ripe berries of the American dwarf palm primarily used for prostate and urinary problems.

Mechanism of Saw Palmetto

Saw Palmetto:

• Has anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory effects.

• Increases testosterone directly and indirectly (R).

• Inhibits PDE5, thus potentiating the effects of nitric oxide (R).

• Increases inducible NO synthase mRNA expression in the penis. This increases the production of nitric oxide (R).

Downsides to Saw Palmetto

Saw palmetto increases testosterone by inhibiting 5-alpha reductase (5AR; the enzyme that creates DHT from testosterone) and aromatase (the enzyme that creates estradiol from testosterone). This lowers estradiol and DHT production, thus “leaving more”sparing” testosterone.

But, saw palmetto is a much stronger 5AR inhibitor than it’s an aromatase inhibitor. We want high levels of DHT since it’s our most powerful androgen. Low levels of DHT reduce sexual function and increases the refractory period.

Plus, Saw Palmetto’s effectiveness for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is very poor. This research paper discusses that Saw Palmetto does not reduce symptoms, even at triple the standard dose (R).

The standard dose of Saw Palmetto for BPH is 160 mg twice daily (R). Some supplements even go over 900mg per serving.

Ultimate Forza contains only 100mg Saw Palmetto powder, which is too low to help with anything. Saw Palmetto hasn’t been shown to help with sexual function, but on the contrary, might worsen it by lowering DHT.

Muira Puama

Muira puama is the best-known Amazonian folk medicine for increasing libido and penile hardness.

It acts as a nerve stimulant to heighten physical sexual pleasure and it commonly used as a sex pill.

Muira Puama hasn’t been studied on its own for sexual function, but always as a combination with other supplements. One example is Revactin®, containing 500 mg each of ginger, muira puama and guarana seed extract and 1,600 mg of L-citrulline (R).

The lowest dose used was 175 mg of the HV-430 extract (R).

Ultimate Forza contains 20mg of Muira Puama root powder which is vastly underdosed.

Arginine

Arginine is used to enhance blood flow and as a direct precursor for nitric oxide production.

This paper shows that arginine supplementation between 1,500 to 5,000mg improved ED (R).

The 20mg Arginine dose in Ultimate Forza is likely not going to do anything.

Panax ginseng

2 recent meta-analyses in 2021 and 2022, looking at many clinical studies, found that based on the strength of the available information, the effects of ginseng on erections and sexual function are trivial.

“Based on mostly low certainty evidence, ginseng may only have trivial effects on erectile function or satisfaction with intercourse compared to placebo when assessed using validated instruments. Ginseng may improve men’s self-reported ability to have intercourse. It may have little to no effect on adverse events.” (R)

The standard ginseng dose that might be helpful for ED is 500mg (R).

Ultimate Forza contains only 20mg Panax Ginseng, which is underdosed.

Summary

Ultimate Forza is one of the suboptimal male enhancement supplements on the market today because it contains many underdosed ingredients. The main ingredient, horny goat weed, is good. But you can rather buy horny goat weed on its own without having to pay for many other underdose ingredients.

I’d rather use horny goat weed by itself and combine it with a proper testosterone booster, like Aggressive Strength.

In terms of side effects, there will likely be little to none, because this supplement contains mainly safe ingredients in small amounts.

What it might help you with. Solid erections and sexual stamina. Will it be as strong as the blue pill or other prescription drugs? Of course not. If you have a serious medical condition, this product will likely not help.

What it will likely not help you with. Premature ejaculation, sex drive, mental health, new vitality, weight loss,

There are definitely better options out there.
